Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs
  • 3/4 cup honey
  • 5 cloves minced garlic
  • 1/3 cup soy sauce (or tamari)
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch (for sauce)
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp water (optional, for deglazing)

Method

  1. Pat chicken thighs dry and season with black pepper.
  2. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear thighs 6-7 minutes per side until golden.
  3. In a bowl, whisk honey, garlic, soy sauce, and cornstarch. Add water to thin slightly.
  4. Pour sauce into the skillet, stir to coat. Cook 5-7 minutes until sauce thickens and chicken is fully cooked (165°F internal temp). Add water as needed for consistency.
  5. Serve immediately or finish in a preheated 400°F oven for 5 minutes for extra caramelization.

Notes

Use tamari instead of soy sauce for gluten-free/low-carb. Substitute honey with sugar-free monk fruit syrup for keto. For deeper flavor, deglaze the pan with collagen bone broth before adding sauce ingredients.
