Ingredients

  • 4 cups pre-baked chocolate cake, cooled
  • 3 tablespoons vanilla frosting
  • 24 ounces chocolate almond bark
  • Lollipop sticks
  • Ritz crackers for decorations
  • Candy corn for details
  • Candy eyes
  • Assorted fall-themed sprinkles

Method

  1. Crumble the cooled chocolate cake into a large mixing bowl until fine crumbs form.
  2. Add the vanilla frosting to the cake crumbs and mix thoroughly until the mixture reaches a malleable, playdough-like consistency.
  3. Roll the mixture into uniform, ping-pong-sized spheres.
  4. Place the spheres on a lined tray and refrigerate for 30 minutes to firm up.
  5. Melt the chocolate almond bark in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  6. Dip the tip of each lollipop stick into the melted chocolate, insert into a cake ball, then dip the entire pop into the chocolate to coat.
  7. While the coating is still wet, attach Ritz crackers for wings, candy corn for details, and candy eyes.
  8. Add sprinkles for extra color before the chocolate sets.

Notes

Cake pops can be stored in an airtight container for up to three days. Ensure the cake is completely cooled before crumbling to maintain the perfect fudge-like texture.
