Ingredients

  • 1 package (12-count) Hawaiian sweet rolls
  • 1 pound deli-style oven-roasted turkey breast, thinly sliced
  • 6 slices Swiss cheese
  • 1/2 cup whole berry cranberry sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon dried minced onion
  • 1 teaspoon poppy seeds
  • 1 tablespoon light brown sugar

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9x13 baking dish.
  2. Slice the entire block of Hawaiian rolls horizontally to create a slab.
  3. Place the bottom half of the rolls into the prepared baking dish.
  4. Spread the Dijon mustard evenly across the bottom layer of bread.
  5. Layer the turkey breast slices generously over the mustard, followed by the Swiss cheese slices.
  6. Spread the cranberry sauce evenly over the cheese layer.
  7. Place the top slab of bread over the cranberry layer.
  8. In a small bowl, whisk together the melted unsalted butter, dried minced onion, poppy seeds, and light brown sugar.
  9. Brush the prepared glaze evenly over the top of the rolls, ensuring it seeps into the crevices.
  10. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the tops are golden brown.

Notes

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven or air fryer to maintain the crispy top. You can add a sprinkle of fresh thyme or rosemary to the glaze for extra herbal complexity.
