Ingredients

  • 24 large fresh strawberries
  • 1 cup white candy melts
  • 1 cup dark chocolate almond bark
  • 48 mini marshmallows
  • 72 pretzel sticks
  • 1 tube of edible orange icing for detail

Method

  1. Wash and thoroughly dry the strawberries to prevent the chocolate from seizing.
  2. In two separate bowls, melt the white candy melts and dark chocolate almond bark using a double boiler or a microwave at 50% power in 30-second intervals.
  3. Place each strawberry onto a wooden skewer to handle easily.
  4. Dip each strawberry into the melted chocolate, letting the excess drip off, then place on a parchment-lined tray.
  5. While the chocolate is still tacky, press a mini marshmallow onto the pointed end of the strawberry to form the head.
  6. Carefully insert three pretzel sticks into the back of each strawberry to serve as the turkey's feathers.
  7. Allow the chocolate to cool and set completely before serving.

Notes

Store these treats in a cool, dry place in a single layer. Do not refrigerate, as moisture can cause the chocolate to lose its glossy finish. These can be made up to 24 hours in advance.
