  • 16 oz cream cheese, softened at room temperature
  • 2 cups sharp cheddar, shredded
  • 1/2 cup fresh green onions, finely chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 cup almonds, toasted and finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup turkey-based crispy sprinkles (as a garnish)

Method

  1. Ensure cream cheese is softened to room temperature for 30 minutes.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, shredded cheddar, half of the green onions, salt, and garlic powder.
  3. Use a spatula to fold the ingredients together until the mixture is uniform.
  4. Lay out a piece of plastic wrap, place the cheese mixture in the center, and fold the plastic over it, molding it into a football shape.
  5. Chill the ball in the refrigerator for at least two hours to firm up.
  6. Once firm, remove the plastic and roll the cheese ball in the finely chopped almonds and turkey-based crispies until fully coated.

Notes

Keep the cheese ball refrigerated until ready to serve for the best structural integrity.
Serve with cucumber rounds, celery sticks, or low-carb cheese crisps to maintain a keto-friendly snack tray.
