Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels to ensure a crispy crust.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together the Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, and onion powder.
  4. Rub the seasoning mixture evenly over both sides of the chicken breasts.
  5. In a separate bowl, blend the melted butter, minced garlic, and olive oil.
  6. Place chicken in a baking dish and brush with the garlic-butter mixture.
  7. Generously press the grated Parmesan cheese onto the top of each chicken breast.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F and the crust is golden brown.

Notes

Ensure the chicken is patted completely dry before seasoning to help the crust adhere better. Serve with a side of steamed vegetables for a complete low-carb meal.
